Juz a bunch of neurons studying why some neurons donot grow after a spinal cord injury
Central Theme: Axons serve as vital communication channels between neurons and the body. While young neurons can efficiently regenerate after injury, adult neurons fail to do so, leading to irreversible nervous system damage..
My work in the lab: Validation of growth-related transcription factors in In Vitro and In Vivo systems, involves lots of molecular biology work (PCR-based cloning, overlapping cloning, Domain deletion cloning, Gibson Assembly and lot..), CRISPR-Cas9, AAV Vector Production, Imaging, Analysing the data and more...
